Motherhood hit me like an unexpected anvil.
I was ready to become a mom: I had a loving partner, a flexible career, and an extra bedroom begging for a baby. Yet when I peed on that stick, I saw my life flash before my eyes. In both pregnancy and postpartum I sensed deep, unsettling changes that I couldn’t quite explain. As a result, I felt totally lost, horribly alone.
And because I wasn’t exclusively overjoyed with my early experience of motherhood, the dark cloud of shame was unbearable. I wasn’t depressed — but I wasn’t me.
I had always wanted to be a mom. So I couldn’t understand why I was struggling so hard.

An ICF certified matrescence coach, a yoga teacher with over a decade of experience, and a mother of two, I have the tools and presence to support new moms who feel similarly out of whack.

Mom Dog’s core coaching program, these six structured sessions explore matrescence and motherhood through both a broad cultural perspective and an intimate personal lens. Expect pre-session education and reflection, in-session meditation and discussion, and ongoing mindfulness as you walk the path towards maternal peace. This is the best place to begin.

Less structured than The Awakening, The Companion provides three months of bi-weekly support for whatever is coming up during this phase of motherhood. This is ideal for mothers who’ve already completed The Awakening.

This 90-minute intensive is for the mom who knows something’s off, but hasn’t had the time or space to process it.
