MATRESCENCE COACHING + YOGA + MOTHERHOOD SUPPORT

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Acknowledgement of self:

As a white, cisgender, heterosexual, able-bodied and educated woman from an upper-middle-class background, I hold significant privilege that shapes my experience of the world – including my experience of motherhood. I acknowledge that the struggles I’ve faced in matrescence, while real and valid, exist within a context of access and safety that many others do not have. This recognition fuels my commitment to ongoing learning, service and action via:

  • Studying and learning from coaches, writers, activists, and mothers whose lived experiences and perspectives differ from my own, and who allow me to expand my view of my world and of motherhood within it

  • Acknowledging that I live and work on the ancestral lands of the Yuchi people in Middle Tennessee

  • Offering sliding scale pricing and scholarships for BIPOC mothers, LGBTQIA+ parents, and other marginalized community members

  • Remaining open to feedback and committed to difficult conversations that challenge me to grow
